• The aircraft-themed markings and "N'EX" logo on the sides of both leading cars have been removed to recreate the train's appearance.
• The signal flares, train telephone antenna, and protective radio antenna are depicted as separate parts.
• The headlights are modeled after the actual train, with white HID lamps at the top and warm white shield beams in the middle. The lower taillights also feature red lights (with a switch to turn them off).
• The slotless motor ensures smooth and quiet running.
• The intermediate coupling section is equipped with a body-mounted KATO close-coupled coupler (with hook) as standard. Damper between the cars is depicted.
• The leading car's driver's cab side is equipped with a KATO close-coupled coupler (without hook) as standard. A single-stage electric coupler is included. A front door (opening) part is also included, allowing for the coupling of two trains.

Details

The E259 Series, introduced in 2009 as the second generation of the Narita Express, connects the Tokyo metropolitan area with Narita Airport. In 2023, the series underwent a gradual redesign under the concept of “evolution as a new E259 Series,” reflecting changing passenger needs and modern operational requirements.

The updated E259 Series features a silver-based livery on the front and sides of the lead car, symbolising the diverse environments along its route. From 2024, the train will also operate on the Sobu Main Line “Shiosai” Limited Express, with the aircraft logo on the lead car removed.

A new front connecting door allows for realistic coupling of the two lead cars, enabling collectors to recreate authentic coupling scenes with ease.
