DetailsIn 2009, Railpool acquired a new fleet of locomotives originally built for Angel Trains, as the company found no use for units 186 101–110. Initially intended as the DA-CH-I variant, these locomotives were also equipped with the country package for the Netherlands. Locomotive 186 251, ordered for DA-PL countries and first tested in 2008, was similarly sold to Railpool in 2011. All eleven locomotives were never formally accepted by Angel Trains and initially served as test units before being fully transferred to Railpool. These locomotives played a crucial role in approval runs in the Netherlands, laying the groundwork for their subsequent operational success. |
