Preiser 2018 New Items

JULIAN LILLEY looks at what is due for release in 2018 from Preiser.

Preiser have for years now been making probably the best range of figures and accessories across a wide range of scales. The HO range alone covers over 7000 items. The majority come hand painted showing exceptional detail. If you have an hour or so to spare, click on the link to see the entire HO Scale range.

Below I have highlighted some of sets that took my eye from the new additions for this year.

PR10695 Family Day Out

This beautifully sculptured scene could add great character to any town or park scene

PR10736 Postal Delivery

As so many of us buying things online, it would seem natural to add a set of these to a layout with houses etc.

PR10740 Skaters, Passers-by

With my, at times, schoolboy sense of humour I was particularly drawn to this group with a lady sticking her umbrella out to trip up the skaters!

PR10751 At The Vending Machine

Ideal for a station platform.

PR10754 Road Construction Workers with Compressor

If your layout is true to life, then you should have potholes on your roads. This set would certainly not look out on place on any road.

PR10693 Divers

PR17312 3 Rubber Dinghys and 2 Trailers

With a little imagination these two sets combined could be used in various ways on a lake, river or sea scene.

PR16360 At The Window

Six unpainted figures and 16 pairs of curtains. These unpainted ladies designed to lean out of a window frame adding extra realism to any home scene. They even come with pleated curtains that can be cut to what ever drop you need; not just 54”, 72” or 90” scale size of course!

PR16361 Housework And Gardening

Thirty-three unpainted figures and accessories. Again, these would look great in any town or village scene.

Both would add an extra dimension outside a pub.

PR28232 Woman Without Burger

This made me chuckle with the burger “splatted” on the floor. It would look good next to snack stand below.

This group could be used in any Christmas display.
