Cooper Craft Kits

Cooper Craft is a company formed in 1977 by Colin Heard. In 1989, Colin moved to the Isle of Man to look after the family business interests and took Cooper Craft with him to an industrial unit near the centre of the island. In 1991 ownership was transferred to Tony Brown in East London, where the company operated and grew until 2008. Cooper Craft has now moved back to its original county of Somerset, with the ownership now having been taken over by Paul Dunn. Cooper Craft produce models in OO scale (4mm), O scale (7mm) and SM32 (16mm).

In Cooper Craft’s OO range they offer a selection of coach kits, wagon kits, road vehicles and lineside buildings. Their Cooper Craft coach kits are a range of MK1 coaches and in the Mailcoach range a good selection of LNER coaches are available. There are a selection of open wagon and box vans are available in kit form.

Cooper Craft Coach For the road vehicles Cooper Craft provide a selection of small trucks and trailers available also in kit form, and on the lineside series a small selection of kits are available including station name boards and even a platelayer‘s trolley.

In Cooper Craft’s O scale range they offer a selection of plank wagons from the GWR line.

The 16mm SM32 offers a range of kits designed for a typical mining style layout. Each kit is easy to build and the detail is second to none. The kits are scaled to work on SM32 track, also in 16mm Cooper Craft offers a small selection on lineside items with Station name boards and platform seating.
