The class 66 Diesel Locomotive is one of the most recognisable and popular freight locomotives in the UK. There were 446 Locomotives made and they were distributed all over the country and even to different countries. The first class 66 was sent to Immingham in 1998 for testing in Derbyand the second was sent to AAR's Pueblo Test Centre for endurance testing before being shipped to the UK. After all the testing was complete the locomotives were shipped out at a rate of 11 units per month in to the UK. The class 66's were also sent abroard to work on lines all over Europe some being re-liveried into DB Schenker red and grey. Other liveries of this class included English Welsh and Scotish Railways (EWS), GBRF, Colas Rail, Freightliner, Direct Rail Services (DRS) and many more.
