Produced with the kind permission of Train-Tech, these light bars do not require any wiring, soldering or track pick-ups and offer a friction-free solution for interior lighting of carriages. A built-in sensor detects the slightest movement to switch the lights ‘on’ when your train moves and capacitors ensure that they remain lit for several minutes after your train comes to a stand. Standard coin batteries provide many hours of illumination and replacements are cheap and widely available. Our new O gauge Mk2/Mk2a coaches, due out in 2021, have been designed for simple ‘drop in’ installation of the light bars although older coaches such as our BR Mk1s will require some modification to the interior unit before use.
