The golden age of travel
At the beginning of the 1930s, the mighty class 241 A steam locomotives appeared on the rails of France. In the "golden" days of travel before World War II, they carried heavy express trains between Paris and the Atlantic ports of Cherbourg and Le Havre and between Paris and Basel. There the famous Arlberg-Orient-Express was one of their tasks. After the end of the war, until 1965 they mainly drove between Paris and Strasbourg as well as Paris and Basel. The 241 A 1 in the Mulhouse Railway Museum and the 241 A 65, the largest operational steam locomotive in Europe in Switzerland, have been preserved.
Prototype: SNCF class 241-A-58 heavy express steam locomotive with a tender as it looked in Era IIIb.

Telex coupling at the rear, screw coupling at the front (1x also included in the scope of delivery to exchange for the rear).
Model:New construction made of metal. Chassis, locomotive body with boiler and driver's cab made of die-cast zinc. Other attachments largely made of metal (MS). Highly detailed model with many separately applied details and a highly detailed driver's cab. Sand cover to open and smoke chamber door with central lock also to open. Movable driver's cab doors, and much more. With mfx digital decoder with 32 functions, controlled high-efficiency propulsion and sound generator with wheel-synchronized driving sounds and extensive sound functions. Operation with alternating current, direct current, Märklin Digital and DCC possible. Built-in buffer encoder. All driving axles powered. Built-in smoke generator with steam output synchronized with the wheel, multi-stage cylinder steam and steam whistle. Engine lighting, Triple headlights with epoch-appropriate light colors that change with the direction of travel. Headlights will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. Lighting with maintenance-free warm white LEDs.
Switchable red rear light. Cab and multi-colored firebox lighting (flickering). Equipped with spring buffers, the locomotive model has a screw coupling at the front, a telex coupling that can be operated remotely at the rear (can be exchanged for a screw coupling at the rear). Control switchover (forwards, backwards, continuous operation) in 3 stages.
The scope of delivery of the model includes an equipment package with a screw coupling, steam oil and a figure of an engine driver and stoker. Mounted on a black lacquered aluminum base for the display case presentation. Minimum drivable radius 1,020 mm. Length over the buffers 83.8 cm. Weight approx. 8.2 kg.
