product Info
Certified safety. Only with original Märklin transformers we guarantee for the perfect operation of our trains. The transformers must be protected against moisture and are not approved for outdoor operation. Only connect to AC power. Please also observe the operating instructions of the devices. Multi-train operation with separate circuits. If several trains are to be operated independently of each other in conventional driving, the system is divided into several circuits. Each circuit is assigned a transformer and at least one siding and is simply separated from the other circuits by a central conductor insulation (74030, 5022 or 7522). The rails have the same potential everywhere in the Märklin H0 system and do not need to be interrupted. Circuits can be closed routes, like most main lines, but also other sections of track with independent operation. Side routes, station areas, sidings, shunting areas or railway depots are ideal for this. Thus, it is also possible to control additional locomotives in individual use at the same time as the fully automatic route operation. The overhead line of electrified line sections is usually connected as a separate circuit to its own transformer. Thus, the locomotives used in the trolleybus operation can even be controlled independently of the supplied via the center conductor vehicles. Several catenary circuits are to be separated via the insulated catenary piece 7022. Power consumption of locomotives and accessories. The output power (in VA) indicated on the transformer is available for the power consumption of all consumers in the circuit. In addition some calculation examples: Under load smaller locomotives (eg Tenderlok 30001 or similar) about 9 VA, larger locomotives (eg diesel locomotive 33803) about 12 VA. The power consumption of the Zugbeleuchtungen depends on the built-in bulbs and is usually less than 2 VA per car. After subtracting the power required on the track, the remaining reserve of the transformer can be used at the light exit for electrical accessories. Here incandescent lamps consume between 0.5 and 1 VA (see table "Incandescent lamps for accessories") and turnouts or signal drives when switching about 6 VA. Additional electrical accessories must be connected to additional light transformers.
