Each 46mm (1.8 inch) track piece comprises Code 83 rail and replica sleeper/tie base on one side, and Code 100 rail (with replica sleepers/ties) on the other. The difference in height of the rail is compensated within the plastic moulding so that trains will run smoothly across the join.
