From the mid-1950s onwards, the conversion of national railway carriages to the German Federal Railways resulted in the production of passenger car wagons. Second class cars, first and second class cars and second class cars with luggage compartment were realised. For many years, they were indispensable in local transport on main and secondary lanes. It was only in the mid-1980s that the last specimens were sampled, but they continue to the present day in the case of museum railways or as construction vehicles.
