The not yet optimally designed driver's cab and corrections to the vehicle part led to the development of the successor series V 60.12. Overall, however, the V 60.10 proved itself, so that the last examples of the Deutsche Reichsbahn were only retired in 1990. Some private rail transport companies have been using the locomotives to this day. The model has prepared the small cab with the headlights, many individually attached parts, metal coupling rods, digital and sound retrofitting.
