Finally there is a contemporary replacement of the very popular and previously widespread BR 78 in the form of a new design from PIKO - and with it the first steam locomotive in the Expert product line. The model hangs a little higher on the established standard of the Expert range. Almost all cables were freestanding, the cab, water boxes and smoke chamber adorn the finest replicas of the rivet heads. Wheelset stars and controls could be made extremely delicate due to the materials used. The five-pole PIKO motor with flywheel ensures excellent driving characteristics. Additional weights in the bowl and two traction tires create a high traction. A PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1 with mfx capability is installed ex works. A loudspeaker and a smoke generator can also be retrofitted with minimal effort. The directional-dependent lighting in LED design ensures an authentic mood. Brake hoses for retrofitting are included.
