The PIKO model of the 181 shows all the relevant details of its prototype in the traffic red version of epoch VI and convinces with the finest paintwork and printing, specially attached front handles and door handle bars, sharply engraved bogie trims, fine insulators and pantographs with different contact strips. The lighting is done by LEDs. The standard built-in driver's cab and engine room lights, like the tail lights that function depending on the direction of travel, can be controlled digitally. A strong five-pole motor with two precisely balanced flywheels that drives all four axes ensures excellent driving characteristics. The heavy PIKO model has two traction tires and a heavy zinc die-cast frame for high tractive forces. A PIKO SmartDecoder 4 is ex works. 1 with matching vehicle sound and mfx functionality installed. Optional attachable brake hose dummies are included with the model.
