The PIKO Expert model of the 1100 series of the Dutch State Railways NS convinces a successful mold construction with harmonious roof curves and many attached parts, such as fine insulators and pantographs, free-standing handle bars and stairs. The model has the matching lamp shapes, sharply engraved bogie trims with realistic spring package replicas and faithful replicas of the buffer planks. The lighting is done by LEDs. The cab and engine room lights, as well as the front and rear lights that function depending on the direction of travel, can be controlled digitally with a PluX22 decoder. The heavy die-cast zinc frame and the motor with two large, precisely balanced flywheels ensure excellent driving properties and high tractive forces. A PIKO SmartDecoder 4 is ex works.
