To protect personnel in the event of an accident, the locomotives of the 1100 series were subsequently fitted with stems which were similar to those of the 1700 series. The PIKO model has sharply engraved bogie trims with realistic spring package replicas and faithful replicas of the buffer planks. The lighting is done by LEDs. The cab and engine room lights, as well as the front and rear lights that function depending on the direction of travel, can be controlled digitally with a PluX22 decoder. The heavy die-cast zinc frame and the motor with two large, precisely balanced flywheels ensure excellent driving properties and high tractive forces. A PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1 with mfx capability is installed ex works, the locomotive is also prepared for simple retrofitting with sound and the largest possible loudspeaker.
