The model of the 150 series follows the proven PIKO drive design. The solid five-pole, diagonally grooved PIKO motor with two precisely balanced flywheels ensures excellent running properties. The traction of the locomotive, which is driven by four axles, is increased by two traction tires, which are arranged diagonally on the axles running on both bogies. The headlamps and tail lamps are illuminated by LEDs, the red and white of which change with the direction of travel. The cab lighting and the tail light can be switched digitally. A PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1 with mfx capability is installed ex works, the locomotive is also prepared for simple retrofitting with sound and the largest possible loudspeaker.
