Novelty 2022: With the newly constructed model of the rail bus VT 2.09 of the German Reichsbahn Piko corresponds to a frequent request of many model railwayers after a contemporary, detailed and ready-to-use design of the well-known "Ferkeltaxe". After the development of the innovative control logic of the DB track bus, for which Piko received the Golden Track 2017, it is close to now also implement the widespread counterpart from East Germany detailed loves with a corresponding logic. The railcar is powered by a strong micromotor, which is equipped in favor of flawless running properties with flywheels, and has an ex factory built-in buffer capacitor for optimum driving characteristics without sound interruptions. The drive acts on both axes of the railcar. Drive and control cars are coupled with each other via a current-conducting short coupling kinematics. The lighting functions of both vehicles are separately switchable, the free view through the passenger dreams possible. The driver registers independently whether a sidecar is attached and then switches off the lighting between the vehicles. The Piko "Ferkeltaxe" is prepared for uncomplicated retrofitting with sound and the greatest possible speaker. - Release Date: 11.2022
