Details

The Re 4/4 I locomotives numbered 401 to 426 were originally delivered in the traditional fir green colour standard of the time. Between 1955 and 1959, two locomotives were trialled with alternative liveries, one in lime green and another in blue. These striking colours surprised travellers, as Swiss railways were mainly known for green and brown tones. Notably, locomotive 409 featured a sapphire blue finish, while number 416 wore lime green during this period, similar to three Ae 8/14 locomotives.
