DetailsEntering British Rail service in 1965 as D6991, this locomotive was initially allocated to Cardiff Canton and renumbered 37291 in 1974. Rebuilt as a Class 37/4 and renumbered 37419 in 1985, it later served in Scotland as part of the Provincial General Pool before being reallocated to Thornaby in the Railfreight Construction sub-sector. After further service under EWS and Direct Rail Services, the locomotive remains part of the Harry Needle Railroad Co. hire fleet, stored serviceable at Barrow Hill.
