As the type Cn2, this locomotive had a friction load of 36 t in its M III-4p design, and was able to reach a maximum speed of 40 km/h with an output of 300 PSi. The German State Railway Company (DRG) procured 511 models and designated these as class 89.70–75 in their fleet.
