To do this, the remote control is pointed at the front of the vehicle, where its infrared sensors are located. Greater distances than approx. 50 cm to the vehicle require a more precise alignment of the remote control to the vehicle, up to 1 m is possible under favorable circumstances. It is therefore suitable for influencing vehicles locally – driving on sight, so to speak. A vehicle can be started with it - even by an active stop coil - and stopped at will. The vehicle speed and existing functions on the vehicle - such as the lighting, the indicators, etc. - can also be set. The vehicle does not have to be connected to the programming device for these basic configurations. The remote control also supplements the control of the vehicles by means of the magnet arrangements under the roadway - this enables complex processes with additional intervention options by the user.
