Peaceful camping under the sign of the Borgward rhombus
Fine curtains with a yellow pattern behind the panes, two green decorative stripes on the roof and belly - the Borgward B611 camping bus appears so contemplative and contemporary. As a camping car of the sixties, the Borgward bus had plenty of advantages to offer even after production in Bremen was discontinued. The space available for the already modest travel needs of the economic boom was enormous with the Bremen Transporter. WIKING miniaturized the VW Bulli rival of the time with great attention to detail. This includes in particular the harmonious camper van image with exclusively continuous row of windows in curtain optics. The WIKING model shows the authentic character of this beautiful and at the same time last Borgward series, which was built from 1957 to 1962, but could also be seen in German streets many years after the end of the Borgward era. The distinctive brand rhombus of the former Bremen automobile works in the middle of the radiator grille looks like a baroque seal that has survived all times, even in the 1:87 miniaturization.
Ivory beige body, yellow-green chassis with bumpers, brown interior fittings and steering wheel. Transparent front headlights. Red-transparent taillights used. Radiator grille printing with silver trim and Borgward rhombus in black and silver. Silver-plated headlight rings, side indicator lights in signal orange. Yellow-green roof hood. All-round yellow-green stripe printing as a belly band. Glazing printed with a curtain look. |
