In the service of the loyal DKW driver on the road
The DKW transporter was the problem solver when the two-stroke engine didn't want to be like its owner. Service was a top priority and DKW was able to quickly find workshop partners in almost all places in post-war Germany. These not only took care of maintenance, but were also reliable sales partners up until the 1960s, ensuring that the number of registrations skyrocketed. With the DKW 3 = 6, WIKING completes the service duo, which also includes the DKW Junior. From 1955 to 1962 the DKW Schnelllaster was built as Type 3 with a three-cylinder engine with 896 cubic centimeters and 32 hp. The transporter was seen as a manoeuvrable vehicle for the first transport tasks in local delivery and distribution traffic.
