The corner hood of the 1960s is still considered a typical representative of the time when the manoeuvrable building material transporters were on the road all day to supply the construction site. The corner hood with a short wheelbase and tipper was one of the accelerators of the economic miracle in Germany - it caused sand and bricks. Just as with Leonhard Weiss, the construction companies relied on this compact tipper and appreciated the air-cooled Howler from Ulm. WIKING launched the Magirus corner hood with a new chassis and new platform, in order to close a model-making gap in the lower weight class as well.
