It was the first vehicle of the latest Panther generation in Germany that Rosenbauer was able to hand over at Dortmund Airport. With the number “6” on the flanks, it will ensure safety in the future and was therefore a welcome model for the largest and most up-to-date WIKING airfield fire engine. The Panther has an environmentally friendly Euro 6 engine with 750 hp and accelerates from 0 to 80 km / h in just 29 seconds, the top speed is 120 km / h. There is space for 12,500 liters of water, 1,500 liters of foam, 250 kilograms of powder and 120 kilograms of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the red giant. Powerful pumps in the vehicle ensure that up to 6,000 liters of extinguishing agent per minute are delivered through the roof monitor. Its throwing distance is around 100 meters. The new Panther 6x6 replaced its 17-year-old predecessor at Dortmund Airport. With the new addition, the airport fire brigade now has three Rosenbauer Panther airfield fire-fighting vehicles. The new Rosenbauer generation of the Panther 6x6 shows what has changed compared to its revolutionary predecessor. In order to offer the emergency services even more security, convenience and ease of use, as well as extinguishing performance, Rosenbauer has equipped the new Panther 6 × 6 with innovative features and maximum performance, security and functionality. Particular attention was paid to the highest level of driving and vehicle safety, maximum convenience and ease of use, as well as optimum driving performance.
