The Lanz D 2016 represents the final major tractor series from Mannheim-based manufacturer Heinrich Lanz AG. First introduced at the DLG exhibition in Munich in 1955, the D 2016 was produced until 1960 and is part of Lanz’s last generation of tractors. This model was considered a full diesel tractor, as it eliminated the need for gasoline injection during starting. Following John Deere’s acquisition of Lanz in 1958, the standard factory colour shifted from blue to green. The WIKING model, however, features a burgundy colour scheme, which was less common in Germany, making it a striking addition to any collection.
