OMNI Series Decoders Explained

CRAIG WEATHERLEY goes through our OMNI range of DCC Decoders.

The OMNI range of decoders are the follow up to our popular OPTI range, and we took the chance to refresh the range and source a new family of decoders which can solve most scenarios in just three items. The OMNI decoders are programmed with the latest data available and have allsorts of amazing stuff such as Back EMF for perfect running, consisting (double heading), special lighting effects (firebox lights, flashing), on track programming and address locking. All of the OMNI Decoders are also available in handy packs of five to allow you to digitise your fleet of locomotives at a reduced cost. DCC27 OMNI 21 & 8 Pin Decoder

Most Suited to OO/HO Gauge Locomotives

Best For OO Versatility

Let’s start with the DCC27, this 8 Pin decoder with harness will fit into most OO/HO locos, with the increased flexability of being able to fit into 21-Pin DCC-Decoders (Bachmann and Heljan OO Locomotives, some Dapol OO Diesels).

Best For Multi-Scale

This is an N Gauge and OO/HO Decoder in one! This is a multi scale decoder with 6 pins on the decoder, and an 8 pin harness; this amazing decoder is suited for any N Scale DCC-Ready locomotives with 6 Pin sockets, and also OO/HO modellers who need an additional 6 pin decoder for lights. The decoder itself is tiny, only 15mm by 8mm, which means even with the harness attached you have an 8 pin decoder which is then suited for small spaces.
