Büssing drove to the customer in the two-stroke engine
When the Büssing customer service was in a hurry, the DKW Schnelllaster had to serve. The Braunschweig fitters were able to quickly reach the site in a manoeuvrable and compact manner. WIKING thus complements the series of historical models based on prototypes in the Büssing factory colors. An impressive series of contemporary miniatures has been created to this day, reminiscent of the great time of Büssing under the sign of the Braunschweig lion. From 1955 to 1962 the DKW Schnelllaster was built as Type 3 with a three-cylinder engine with 896 cubic centimeters and 32 hp. The DKW Schnelllaster 3 = 6 is built as a compact panel van and thus creates a bridge to the years of reconstruction after the war - the great times of Büssing! The DKW Transporter was regarded by Büssing customer service as a manoeuvrable vehicle for the first transport tasks in local delivery and distribution traffic. The prototype was also referred to as 3 = 6 because, according to the bold advertising lines of the Auto Union at the time, its engine ensured "three power impulses per crankshaft revolution, just like the six-cylinder four-stroke engine".
