At that time, the designation of the series had changed: from then on, the 401 stood for the short wheelbase and the 402 for the long wheelbase. In 1955, the Boehringer Ochsenkopf finally had to give up the sign of its ancestry. The model appears prototypically with a closed driver's cab, plus an open tarpaulin. The fenders of the model and the platform are designed separately, and the spare wheel is waiting behind the driver's cab. In fact, the headlights stick straight ahead like frog eyes next to the shy radiator grille - the Westfalia cab of the first Unimog generation did not have to wait long for its nickname. Tweet
