So the Esslingen forklifts and luggage trolleys went to the customer
WIKING has had the successful companion of the Esslingen mechanical engineering factory in its product range for a long time: The luggage trolley and the first forklift were created based on their models and were used on thousands of model trains. Now there is a premiere for a team of heavy-duty trains that also transported the other machines of the model manufacturer of the time to the addressee. The Mercedes-Benz L 5000 has a heavy-duty platform with a tarpaulin, while the low-loader was able to handle loads weighing several tons. Mine and industrial railways, plus forklifts - the Esslingen machine factory had a wide range of products. In 1965, Daimler-Benz took over a large part of the Esslingen machine factory from the Gutehoffnungshütte.
