The bull hood of the last Magirus generation
It is the proud corner hood of the last generation: As a towing vehicle, WIKING is now making the Magirus-Deutz ready for heavy haulage. It celebrates its premiere in the factory colors of the Ulm truck manufacturer and with valuable Deutz engine freight. The German construction cops made a name for themselves as early as 1971. As with WIKING, they mostly started with Meiller tippers. From old to new - at WIKING it succeeds in combining old and new components. The corner hood cabin from 1974 will be given new honors in the future and will also receive a new radiator grille. As early as 1974, the last generation with the Magirus-Deutz lettering and the stylized silhouette of the Ulm Minster on the radiator grille was to continue the corner-hood chronology at WIKING. The Magirus-Deutz 232 D 22 AK appeared as a steel platform and dump truck, with Meiller superstructure of course. They were to become indispensable endurance runners for the 1:87 construction vehicles, not least because the series was carried by the image of “the German construction cops”. From now on, the corner hood can also develop its model-making power as a tractor.
