Airfield fire engine in desert sand design
This is how classic fire services were created: WIKING received the inquiry back in the 1960s when the fire truck manufacturer Rosenbauer from Austria wanted to have its airfield fire engine miniaturized. The fact that WIKING boss Fritz Peltzer dictated his reply letter just eight days after receiving the request and presented Konrad Rosenbauer KG with a strategically appropriate model solution suggests that the offer was processed quickly but meticulously. Peltzers liked the airport fire fighting vehicle FLF-A 3000 on the chassis of the Mercedes Benz 322 - the model followed on the existing chassis of the Mercedes-Benz short-hood. WIKING is now submitting a version in beige desert sand paint from historical forms.
