No doubt, the Bluna bus made you thirsty for soda! The Büssing D2U once caused an eye-catcher in its West Berlin area of ??operation. Unlike today, full-area bus designs were by no means a matter of course and also rather the exception at the BVG. The mighty Bluna letters in glowing flower power orange were embedded in a creative palm tree that heralded the exotic origin of the fruit. The double-decker buses probably drove past the former Berlin model making workshops of WIKING in Lichterfelde dozens of times a day - the D2U shaped the economic boom in western Berlin. Accordingly, the Bluna bus also carries the destination sign from Steglitz.
