Afri-Cola knew how to stand up to Coca-Cola with the VW T1
It was one of the really big brands of the economic miracle. And unlike Coca-Cola, Afri-Cola was considered a German competitor, whose soft drink brand enjoyed great popularity and in some regions even outshone the US competition of German Coke licensees. It goes without saying that the shower manufacturers knew how to use the first VW T1 "Type 2" as a standard delivery van. WIKING implemented the original Afri-Cola advertising image. The traditional model makers dedicated new shapes to the original Bulli, but consciously let the design language of the legendary model maker Alfred Kedzierski speak for itself. The details are prototypically implemented, because the front seat bench is just as much a part of it as the contemporary car body engravings of indicators, double doors and exterior door hinges.
Upper body part white, lower part sapphire blue, front bumper pastel blue with dark blue trim strip, interior fittings slate gray. Roof printed in pastel blue. Black chassis, pastel blue rim with silver hump cap. Transparent headlights in front and printed in silver. Dark blue afri-Cola logo on the Bulli nose, pastel blue palm on the side and dark blue lettering "afri-Cola". Silver-plated door handles. Carmine red taillights. Rear flap handle and rear headlights silver-plated. White lettering "afri-Cola" on the rear. |
