The freight forwarder with Dutch roots
First it was ANEXCO, which abbreviated the forwarding name "Algemene Nederlandse EXpeditie Compagnie" and was used for cross-border paper and cardboard transport. In 1965 the Dutch owners sold their shares to the German transport company Rhenus and the name was changed to Newexco. He was the house haulier of the German paper mill Nordland, which explains the name "Nordtrans" of the German branch. Over the decades, the distinctive truck trains have been part of the street scene in cross-border traffic. The Volvo F88 is particularly noticeable due to its typically Dutch design - with surface printing on the doors and roof sign. It is a real classic car that exudes the authentic forwarding ambience of the late 1960s.
